Dr. Mary M. Simms- Speciializing In Corporate, Association, and Christian Themes Dr. Mary Simms is the Founder & Director of Family Outreach Counseling Services, a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural professional counseling center with a Christ-centered approach . She has been serving the Los Angeles-Long Beach area for over 21 years. During that time, Mary has been a featured speaker at various conferences and seminars across the region as well as internationally. Dr. Simms has been a featured speaker partnering with LifeBranch Institute International and Action International Ministries in both Cuba and Mexico. As a Licensed Christian Therapist and a Minister. her work involves empowering others to live their best life, using not only her professional training, but her personal life experiences as well. She is indeed an overcomer, having survived breast cancer twice.

Dr. Mary Simms is the Founder & Director of Family Outreach Counseling Services, a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural professional counseling center with a Christ-centered approach . As a Licensed Christian Therapist and a Minister. her work involves empowering others to live their best life, using not only her professional training, but her personal life experiences as well. She is indeed an overcomer, having survived breast cancer twice.

Dr. Simms background includes having been an investigator in the area of affirmattive action for a major City in the Los Aneles area. She was also career counselor at Cal State University, Long Beach for many years. She uses both her therapy and career background together; the therapy is helping to free people from the emotional distress that hinders their lives, and the career counseling background to help point them to areas of their gifting for purpose and use.

Dr. Simms has a PH.D. In Theocentric Counseling and Masters’ Degrees in both Marriage & Family and Pastoral Counseling. In 2008, she added a division of Family Outreach called Seminarsforgrowth.com, designed to bring valuable information on various topics to assist people in living their best life. Among the topics included are Career and Life Balance, Managing Stress, Conflict Management and Organizational Change.

Dr. Simms has had over twenty years of professional counseling and speaking experience working in the areas of marriage and family; relationships, working through conflict, stress management, abuse; addictions and recovery; grief and loss; depression and anxiety, boundaries; and interpersonal and personal growth . She has worked and taught both on the university level as well as in corporate settings and is currently in private practice as a licensed clinician.
