Mark’s ability to communicate effectively allows his listeners to easily connect with his subject matter. The goal of his leadership seminar is to encourage leaders to elevate or renew their understanding of good leadership and to move forward in their journeys of personal growth.
A graduate of Indiana University and Boyce Bible School (now Boyce College), Mark has led numerous businesses and organizations through times of transition which resulted in greater employee satisfaction and higher profits. The two foundations of Mark’s teaching are understanding the difference between leaders and managers and the importance of vision.
Mark skillfully leads those he teaches through the three steps of building a statement of vision. His entrepreneurial activities include the fast food industry, the wholesale produce business and building trades. He has served as an English/Spanish translator for the federally funded Head Start program and he provides color commentary for high school football radio broadcasts in southeast Indiana. He is Vice– President of Best Foot Forward Seminars, serves as pastor of the Hayden Baptist Church and is instructor of leadership at the Church Leadership Institute.
Mark is author of the book, UNDERSTANDING YOUR ROLE AS A LEADER (Xlibris 2011) and has had numerous articles on leadership featured by the CHICAGO EXAMINER (chicagoexaminer.com). He has spoken to many school groups, associations, corporate clients and religious organizations throughout the United States as well as in Bahamas, Chile, Nicaragua, Denmark and Israel.
