The year is about half over. It is a good time for us to review our goals and objectives for the year and mark our progress.
What, you don’t have goals and objectives for the year? If not, how will you know if you have advanced in 2012 and made personal progress? I keep two “To Do” lists posted: one for every day, and one for the year. My daily “TO DO” list is an ongoing challenge, but as I step back, I’m doing well for the whole year. I have already read as many books as I planned,
I used to believe, before I did much thinking on the subject, and before Viktor Frankl’s book Man’s Search for Meaning showed me otherwise, that we are all victims of the genetics with which we’re saddled and the circumstances into which we’re born. I also believed that a sense of humour is something we’re either born with or without. Over the years, and through the experiences rehabilitation bestowed on me, I’ve come to realize that I have a lot left to learn on the subject of Attitudes, but I’ve also come to realize that the closer I get to mastering this
Corporations, colleges and businesses are always seeking “qualified candidates” — for employment, freshman enrollment, or for position advancement. For the life of me, it’s amazing what some organizations go through to find and recruit “qualified candidates”. Some corporations use standarized testing such as Myers-Briggs. Colleges will set cut-off scores on the ACT or SAT. Graduate programs also use cut-off scores, either utilizing the GRE or GMAT tests.
What is magic about a cut-off score? Does using a 500 cut-off on the GMAT mean a candidate with a 495 isn’t capable of succeeding? Does the 500 score guarantee success?
Parents were often advised during the era of the Great Depression to shield their children from the terrible financial stresses threatening their family. It was a terrible time. People lost their farms, their homes, their jobs, their savings, their companies, their banks and in many cases their lives. Even more, while the financial situation of the nation and the world grew worse and worse, the clouds of war were gathering. It is estimated that by the time World War II ended, at least 80 million people had been killed. People dreaded the mailman because the next letter might be notification
The 6 Steps to Name Retention and Recall
Your ability to recall a person’s name is just a workshop away from going from embarrassing to impressing yourself and everyone you know or will ever meet. It is said hat the sweetest sound to anyone’s ears universally in any language is their own name. It is also said that your favorite subject is yourself. If these two statements are veri tas Harvard University’s motto, “only the truth” how can a person go through life without mastery of Name Retention.
It’s beyond a skill to have it’s a business and personal

No matter what your age, gender or area of expertise, communicating correctly and professionally is vital. This skill becomes even more important if you hope to take on more job responsibility, you’re looking for a job or you’re hoping to move up the ladder.
Texting is fine for informal or urgent communications, but don’t rely on it to maintain important relationships. Employers will look at you much more positively if
I was annoyed some years back when the film “The Dead Poets Society” won an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay. How could I be an outlier by disliking such a popular movie? Well, that’s because I didn’t think it was very “original,” as the award declared. Go back if you can and look at it one more time. You may find as I did that it was little more than a pastiche of literary fragments from some of the greatest writers of all time, held together by a flimsy melodrama.
Similarly, I have endured many speeches that were also
I had a new client about a month ago. He is an actor, but not just an actor looking for a job. This man is so diverse he was acting in a play, memorizing a script to sell cars at a convention, he’d just completed a major role in a motion picture that is being released in a month, and was also performing for a webseries.
No moss grows under his feet. I spent about 2 – 3 hours for our first memory lesson. He also watched my five memory lessons on youtube.com, and listened to all 12 lessons on
Have you heard the news? What news? Well, rumor has it that ——— so starts the gossip. Gossiping as described by researchers is not mainstream empirical concept or positive means of communication in the work place, home and social surrounding. In some culture, gossiping is termed as “mind poison” that starts unquenchable fire. Rabbi Mendel Kessin described gossiping as poison, unhealthy food for the mind that cannot be purchase from any store, does not come in any package, not physical but merely environmental, but deadly when employed as means of communication.
Gossiping is regarded as trivial talk, a need to
