We all make investment choices available. What yardstick would be the most appropriate for both individuals and business people to gauge each one? Some people make their investment decisions based primarily on rate-of-return, while others deem safety of paramount importance. Some others focus on the tax aspects of an investment.
While all of these concerns are important, they should not be deciding factor in basing your investment decisions. The most important investment criterion is the suitability of an investment in relation to your financial psychology. For the business person it simply means don’t invest in a business you know nothing about. It is foolish to make a capital expenditure that does not have the potential to significantly increase your sales and add to your bottom line.
Financial Axiom #1: Never, Never play another man’s game. Find your own game and play it well.
