So, it looks like the joke’s on me. After all I did just say in last week’s post (click here if you missed it) that even with Trump taking office you still need to pay attention to the new overtime rules. So naturally, yestelast-female-munchkin-from-the-wizard-of-oz-diesglv-comrday a federal judge, from the Eastern District of Texas, in Nevada v US Department of Labor issued a preliminary nationwide injunction temporarily stopping the new overtime rules from going into effect. Wait. What? Can a judge from Texas do that? What happened and how did it happen? That’s what we’re going to find out…
