Corporate Nutrition Lesson # 9: Fast Healthy Meals for Busy Lifestyles Part 1–Dr. Steve’s Protein Shakes
So I don’t know about you, but it seems to me that life just keeps getting busier and busier. With a constant on the go lifestyle, it can be a real challenge to eat healthy.
My clients tell me that this is one of their biggest obstacles to overcoming chronic health issues and losing weight—And based on the spectacular results they get once I solve this problem for them, I would agree.
So in this post, I would like to share one of my most powerful weapons to help you put this problem at bay. I want you to have some tools to use to take charge of your own health and well-being…
….And I also want you to have the energy you need to handle your very busy life and still have some left over to enjoy the good things too!
So what I have for you in this post is a complete and healthy meal that you can easily prepare in about 5 minutes or less. I call it the Dr. Steve Protein Power Shake.
It is gluten and sugar-free, soy and dairy-free, hypo-allergenic, non-GMO, low-carb, low calorie, all natural has o % trans-fats and a complete amino acid profile. It is naturally sweetened with unrefined, low glycemic sweet leaf stevia. Also my Protein shakes provide a full 25 grams of plant-based protein (half your average daily requirement).
I use plant-based protein and raw whole fruit so you get all the benefits of those powerful phyto-chemicals and polyphenols which prevent cancer, heart disease and diabetes. Amazingly it builds and tones lean muscle at the same time you incinerate stubborn belly fat-ain’t that cool!
The shakes are very filling, taste great and the energy boost puts glide in your stride and elevates your mood.
This is my go-to strategy when I am on the road, short on time, and don’t want to resort to processed, unhealthy convenience foods…
On a really hectic day, I like to make a double batch in the morning and save half for later. I throw the extra in a mini cooler/back-pack with synthetic ice. I grab it as I leave the house or hotel room and I am good to go!
The beauty of this strategy is that in 5 minutes I have prepared a fast healthy breakfast, mid-morning snack and lunch….And you know what that means……No More being forced to choose between starving or going through the drive-thru!

Step 2 Add fruit and pulse
Step 3 Add ice, pulse, and then pulverize

Here Some Other flavors and Variations to try:
For my sweet tooth and transitioning peeps try adding 1 pitted medjool date or ¾ tablespoon of raw organic maple syrup
Better than the above option is to experiment with different fruits like sun-dried raw unsweetened shredded coconut (Whole Foods Markets, Trader Joes), raw/fresh pineapple, nectarines and peaches, raspberries, black berries, blue berries, cranberries, pomegranate-and please share/post on our Facebook page and blog your special tasty concoctions!
Oh, and sometimes I like to add a little pure vanilla extract and cinnamon to my vanilla shakes.
Here is one more variation to try for you chocolate lovers: Add some pure unsweetened cocoa. The stevia, bananas and berries will sweeten it enough to make it tastes like a super healthy and tasty chocolate shake.
We are in this together so play with it and please share/post on our Facebook page and blog the special tasty concoctions or variations that you discover.
