Laurie Nadel, Ph.D. has been a seminar leader since 1990 when the first edition of her book Sixth Sense was published. It became a national bestseller after she appeared as an expert on Oprah. Sixth Sense explored research into whole-brain strategies for leadership, motivation, teambuilding and career development. In 2007, Dr. Laurie Nadels SIXTH SENSE: Unlocking Your Ultimate Mind Power (ASJA Press) was published by ASJA Press in 2007. The new edition, containing an internet directory to experts and resources, has been an amazon.com and barnesandnoble.com bestseller. Dr. Nadel is a regular guest on Coast to Coast AM. She hosts The Sixth Sense on www.webtalkradio.net where she interviews inspirational business leaders. Her corporate clients have included Eli Lilly and Company, Bristol Myers-Squibb, Rockwell International, United Way, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, and the Rockefeller Foundation. Her overseas clients have included the Kuwait Oil Company, Varig Airlines of Brasil, and financial services companies in Greece and Turkey. Laurie Nadel holds doctorates in psychology and clinical hypnotherapy. She completed clinical training in mind/body medicine at Harvard Medical School in 2000. For three years after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center, she directed a program for teenagers with parent loss at South Nassau Communities Hospitals WTC Family Center on Long Island. A member of the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation, Dr. Laurie is certified in critical incident stress management for domestic terrorism and weapons of mass destruction. A professional journalist since 1969, Laurie Nadel has been a columnist for The New York Times. She founded the Committee to Protect Journalists (www.cpj.org) in 1981 and was recently honored by Christiane Amanpour for her role in starting the human rights organization.
