Glen Winkel, Ph.D.Dr. Winkel is a research scientist trained at the University of California San Francisco School of Medicine. He has studied such diverse topics as neuroscience, developmental biology, embryology, immunology and cardiovascular physiology. He has been conducting seminars on these topics and many more since 1992, when he departed from UCSF to focus upon education in his goal to improve the health of his clients. Dr. Winkel is also a 7-time World and 20-time National Champion in Bicycle racing having been a member of the US Postal Service and AMD/Discovery Masters Cycling team. A former teammate to Lance Armstrong, (7-time winner of the Tour de France) he has continued to compete and consistently wins cycling events, often beating riders 30 years younger than himself. Utilizing his education and himself as a guinea pig, he has developed a unique understanding of how nutrition, wellness and performance works on the competitive cycling circuit. It is this unique knowledge that Dr. Winkel bring to his seminars. The discipline, dedication and determination to win multiple championships also applies in the corporate world, whether it be dealing with a high stress job or high blood pressure. Dr. Winkel's primary focus is to help his clients stay healthy by educating them on the finer aspects of optimal health. Understanding what underlies the common illnesses, why we get sick, how to maintain health despite a stressful lifestyle/job/marriage. Understanding why we get sick gives you the understanding to make the right choices to improve your health.
