Dr. Rick Bommelje

"The Listening Doctor"

Dr. Rick Bommelje has over 30 years of professional experience in leadership, management and adult education.  Rick serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Communication at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida.  Dr. Bommelje also serves as the President of the International Listening Leadership Institute.  With a Masters Degree in Management and Doctorate in Educational Administration, and advanced leadership study at Northwestern\'s Kellogg School of Management and Harvard University, he specializes in the development of listening and leadership.

Rick Bommelje has been serving professionals in organizations in the areas of leadership and listening development since 1977.  Over the years his courses, workshops and presentations have benefited thousands of leaders from an impressive list of organizations including Sara Lee Foods, Dow Jones & Company, Olive Garden Italian Restaurant, GE Healthcare, Walt Disney World, Coca Cola Bottling Company, Western Digital, Hong Kong Broadband, Tesco Lotus and many others.

Dr. Bommelje is the co-author of the pioneering book Listening Leaders: The Ten Golden Rules to Listen, Lead & Succeed.  A member of the Executive Board of the International Listening Association, Rick is also a member of the National Speakers Association.  He received the International Listening Association Listening Educator of the Year\' Award in 2006.
