Years ago, after an unfortunate personal experience, an unfortunate and hurtful experience that did not have to be for all parties involved, a life changing transformation occurred for Brett. “As I, and the other parties painstakingly struggled through an adversarial process I kept asking those who supposedly knew better the same question over and over, WHY?
Why are we approaching the matter this way? Why are there accusations and not meaningful communication? Why?
And then the realization sank in,
NO ONE involved knew how to communicate effectively, no one knew how to build a bridge, no one knew how to be other than adversarial, no one knew how to guide the matter in the best interest of all involved.
It was at this moment in time that I realized I had both a unique ability and more importantly a unique opportunity to deliver solutions that others were not.”
Brett realized the power to change opinionated people and deeply entrenched systems through his unique approach to Communication and CONFLICT MANAGEMENT skills, delighting and connecting with his attendee’s through the eyes of a meaningful storyteller, drawing parallels between cinematic conflict management and real life conflict management in ways that are easy to grasp and apply. Nationally Certified Mediator Trainer, Certified Mediator, Senior Paralegal for over 15 years, Certified Legal Document Assistant. As a Mediator, assisted with Legal Aid Information services in providing Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) techniques in a wide array of civil cases including Probate, Real Estate, and Family Law. Internationally, Mr. Lovett is assisting the country of India with development of ADR and Mediation techniques throughout their legal system.
Mr. Lovett is active in community service, a guest speaker at business colleges on ADR related topics and has been an Ombudsman for a national hospitality corporation.”
